Post your benefit in this format please. The staff will look at at it and, if it is approved, will post here.

Please modify 1-5 and each rank as needed. The stronger the initial gain, the higher the benefit should start at. The more the benefit can increase in strength, the bigger the gap should be between the first rank and last.

In the "long run", spending more points=more power, in all cases.

Please quote this post to get the code for posting your benefit. It should be formatted correctly.

For "Cost" use the form [A-B]xC+D; Where A is the first rank possible (min 1), B is the final (max 5) rank, C is the cost (other than 1) to get this benefit and increase its rank from A to B. D is the point cost for increasing this benefit by 1 rank (with no "cap" to the total rank of the benefit). B, C and D are optional.

[b]Channeled Core
Active Benefit (Technique)

Pre-Requisites: Be attuned to the Elemental ring of Air, or have talked to the Dragon of Air and made and agreement with him or be declared the Master of Air (requiring 5 ranks of the Acolyte of Air Dragonfly Clan only Benefit and the Dragonfly Clan only title "Master of Air")

Description: The user once per day must meditate for an hour, focusing the natural electricity in their body. They then can use and manipulate this electric buildup through attacks of their own hand channeling them for the rest of the day.

Ranks:
1. The user must meditate every day for an hour, after he may only create small static shocks using contact. these may disrupt neurons in small locations of the body such as the hands and feet.

2. The user must still meditate for the same amount of time in rank two but the monk has a better understanding of his own electric current, and thus can utilize it more effectively and
powerfully. Making the small shocks disruptive to the forearm and the knee to the foot.

3. At rank three the user has spent about six months utilizing the benefit that he has learned. He may now meditate once every other day, his attacks however are still the same strength as in rank two.

4. In the forth rank the user only has to meditate once every week in order to channel his own electric current. His electric attacks are way more powerful and can now go in depth into an attackers body and even sometimes shut down an entire appendage for 2-4 seconds.

5. By the fifth rank the user of this Channeled Core Benefit has complete control over his Electrical system. He can interrupt other currents in attackers bodies to stop them in their
tracks. The user only has to meditate once every month now and has an increase to his speed. Through his many years of training the user has mastered his own Electric system and now has complete control over himself using electricity.

Genius Nonetheless [3]
Passive Benefit

Prerequisites: Lazy Genius (Flaw), Must be taken at Character Creation

Description:[/B The user is lazy but, still much more intelligent than average.
This leaves them lacking the drive to train as much as others but, with the skills and
intelligence to quickly master the things they do train for.

Ranks:
3. The user selects 1 benefit at character creation. At level 2, the character gets 3 build points, which can only be spent on that benefit. Every level afterwards, the character gets 1 build point that can only be spent on that benefit.

[B]Know the School [3]
Passive Benefit

Prerequisites: Approval by the Faction Leader, At least 10 points of reputation with that faction.
Can be taken multiple times.

Description: You have trained with a Faction other than your own, and as a result gained a skill unique to that Faction.

Ranks:
3. You immediately gain the ability to learn 1 benefit or other unique ability of a Faction other than your own.
This benefit costs 1 less for Ronin and 1 less if used at character generation (2 less for Ronin at character generation). Remember that ronin may declare 1 clan as their own ex-clan prior to generation, and therefore do not need this benefit for their first clan.
You must explain to the leader of that Faction what the benefit, technique, spell, kiho, etc... is before taking it, even if you use this benefit when first
making your character.

Strong Spirit [1-4]
Passive Benefit

Prerequisites: 1 Ki

Discount: N/A

Description: One with this benefit is more in tune with their inner spirit and as such have more ki than usual.

Ranks:
*Note: Ranks do not stack with each other. Ki gained in this way cannot be used for prerequisites.
1. Small inner voice. User gains an extra 2 ki every lvl.
2. Similar to having a visible conscience. User gains an extra 5 ki per lvl. Retoactive for previous lvls gained.
(lets say you gained this rank at lvl 3. You would get an extra 3 ki to make up for what you would have
gotten on lvl 2 as if you already had it...)
3. May hold a conversation with your inner self. User gains an extra 8 ki per lvl. Retroactive.
4. You are at one with yourself. User gains an extra 12 ki per lvl. Retroactive.
5. User knows oneself entirely, This causes mind control effects at an effect level of X/3-Y or lower to usually fail against the user. X=Your character level. Y=The caster's character level. User gains an extra 15 ki per lvl. Unlike previous lvls, this one is not retroactive.

Passive Benefit

Prerequisites: Character Creation without Approval; Not a Spellcaster (Onmyouji, Sohei, Shaman, Shugenja)

Description: You have the uncanny ability to see ghosts and spirits despite your lack of an ability to interact with this world in ways like spellcasters

Ranks:
2. Your character can talk to kami, spirits, ghosts, etc... and somewhat interact with them (usually when they are willing). You can always attack these spirits (even without this benefit), but many have the ability to shift back into their own plane and become invisible and even intangible (and therefore impossible to hit with normal means). Note that Jade, Crystal, Obsidion and other special materials always hit these creatures.
